Biography
Yuchen Wei is a PhD student in economics at HKU Business School. His research interests encompass development economics, economic history and, corporate finance.
Currently, from a historical and interdisciplinary perspective, he is working on issues related to the interplay between culture, human capital, institutions and geography in China’s long-term development process.
Yuchen has presented his work at the 10th International Symposium on Quantitative History. His research has been supported by the Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS).
Prior to joining the University of Hong Kong in 2023, Yuchen completed a BA in Economics from Wuhan University.
