Biography
Meiqi Ding is a PhD student in quantitative history at the IHSS of Hong Kong University. She has extensive research interests in Chinese monetary history and business history.
Currently, she works as a member of the Chinese Genealogy and Epitaph Database team, using AI models to extract data from raw materials. Additionally, she is striving to comprehend the logic of Chinese monetary history and business history.
In 2024, Meiqi presented her work at the Chinese Business History Conference. Her research has been supported by Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS).
Before joining the University of Hong Kong, Meiqi completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chinese history from Zhejiang Normal University in 2023. From 2023 to 2024, she was an RA supported by the AoE grant under the CQH.
