Biography

Xinhao Li is a PhD student in Finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics. Their research explores the determinants of trade in the fields of culture and religion.

Their current work, at the intersection of economics and history, examines the impact of historical Christian missions on foreign trade development in late imperial China.

Xinhao has presented their work at the 15th European Historical Economic Society Conference and the 11th Hong Kong Economic Association Biennial Conference. Their research has been supported by the Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS).

Prior to the University of Hong Kong, Xinhao completed a BA in Economics from Shandong University and an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
